My dog has luxating patellas, which is a problem with his kneecaps. It can cause pain, or arthritis and may require surgery. He's been diagnosed by two different vets at differing levels, he doesn't act like it bothers him, in fact, when I let him off his leash in the dog park, he runs like the wind, he acts like he totally enjoys it, and does not act like he's in pain.
But, while the vets do not agree on the degree of his problem, they agree he has it, and that it can get worse. So, I use this on my little dog a couple of times a day. It's hard to tell if it is working because he wasn't previously showing signs of pain, but he does become very relaxed when I'm using it and seems to want the treatment. I have been restricting his running somewhat so it's hard to tell if his improvement is because I’ve stopped letting him run as much as he wants, or if the laser is doing it, or both. I’ve noticed he’s a bit bowlegged which I’m told can be a symptom, I’ll watch that and will add to this review if I see improvement. I’ll also add if my vet thinks it’s helping.
I also have a seven-year-old cat and I've known older cats with arthritis as they got older. I intend on using this with her as she gets older.
It's easy to operate, it charges in a reasonable amount of time and keeps the charge a good amount of time. I do not know if this is a competitive price or not compared to other units, but it’s certainly much more cost effective than multiple visits to the vet, or if, at some point, he needs pain meds.
This is a well made device. It is hard to tell how well new technology works. I will say the last time it rained my dog did not seem to limp as bad. The instructions were easy to understand and the unit is easy to use. I like that it is a treatment that does not seem to bother my dog at all so I am able to complete each session with a simple belly rub to make him stay still.
Excellent product. Although it worked so well that I purchased the full body mat instead. This is great for on the go. I also recommended it to a friend, but he decided to keep his his whole family uses it.
used to heal a wound on moms dog better than a vet bill!
This cold laser therapy device is a great tool for easing joint and muscle pain in pets. It’s easy to use, and the multiple wavelengths target inflammation and promote healing. I’ve seen noticeable improvement in my dog’s mobility and comfort. Quiet, handheld, and well-built, its a helpful at-home therapy option for dogs, cats, or even horses.
